Nelson Elliott GOLF SCRAMBLE
Each summer, friends, family, alumni, and supporters from across the country gather for the Nelson Elliott Memorial Golf Scramble—our largest annual fundraising event.
Hosted by the S. N. Elliott Foundation, the tournament celebrates Nelson’s lifelong commitment to education, mentorship, and community—and honors one of his favorite pastimes, golf. Nelson found joy, friendship, and reflection on the course, making this event a fitting tribute to his life and legacy.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Green Hills Country Club, the scramble combines friendly competition with purpose. Established in 1962, Green Hills features 18 beautiful yet challenging holes and was voted the Times West Virginian’s “Best Course in the Area” in 2018. Its tradition of excellence and community spirit mirrors the values our foundation upholds.
The Nelson Elliott Golf Scramble brings together over 100 golfers and 60 sponsors, raising vital funds for scholarships that help North Marion High School graduates pursue higher education.
Whether you join as a player, sponsor, or donor, your support continues a family legacy of generosity and service—empowering future scholars while honoring Nelson’s memory.
